Route description:
The Little Lake Route starts on the Oštir’s farm. We set off to Rakov Škocjan. The forrest route leads us to the Little natural bridge and Bit natural bridge. We continue our drive through dense forrests of the Kras Plateau, past many beautiful points of view to the ruins of Karlovški castle. In spring and autumn rains we can witness filling the lake from the Suhadolca vent hole, which lays on the way to The last place gulf. At The last place gulf we can go to swim and then set off to Dolenje jezero village – typical slovenian village where we can take a look at the living model of Cerknica lake in the Jezerski hram museum. After the last stop we return to Cerknica town past lake meadows and fields.

In every village we can visit interesting churches. In Gornje Jezero village we can stop at the Herblan restaurant and strenghten ourselves with a meal if needed.
The route leads ud on, past St. Kancijan church, over the bund and the bridge to the Laze village. We continue through a pleasant forrest route and after a few miles we turn to the only inhabbited island in Slovenia.
